He was responsible for training, developing, and implementing lean methods throughout the supply chain. Significant achievements during his tenure included implementing the first regional rollout of just-in-time (JIT) deliveries to the dealership level. He also helped design and develop the operational procedures for a new Toyota distribution center using an automated warehouse control system and integrating material handling equipment into operational processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alan received top honors at the 1997 North American Kaizen Conference and was selected to represent North America at the 1998 Kaizen World Cup, held in Japan.
